No matter what type of card you have, you will most likely need to transfer money from that card to an unassociated bank account.
Luckily, you have four easy methods to choose from when transferring your funds. You can transfer money from a debit card online through a debit card issuers website, in-person at a bank or ATM that supports your card, or through a third-party app.

Visa gift cards are not cash, but it is possible to turn them into cash using Square, a card reader for small businesses to take credit card charges. Some articles suggest using PayPal, but PayPal doesn’t always work since these gift cards can’t be verified. Square is another option, but it will cost you a percentage of the amount transferred and the cost of the reader if you purchase one . Please note that some users report Square has started to block Visa gift cards for some users. There is a possible workaround, but there is no guarantee it will work either.

Sending Money With Virtual Card
I want to send money to a few friends in other countries. I don’t like the idea of linking either my bank card or my bank account directly to Paypal – for my own piece of mind regarding my money – so I got myself a virtual Visa card to link to it instead.
Before trying to send any money with my virtual card, I topped it up enough to make sure I had sufficient funds. I’ve also verified the card with my Paypal account and was informed that as it’s now verified, there are no transaction limits imposed on it by Paypal. Great.
Then I tried to use the virtual card to send money to my friends, and…nothing. Paypal informs me that they are “unable to complete my transaction right now. If this continues, please contact customer service”. I tried on several different days, got the same message every time, and eventually did contact customer service. Who basically told me that trying to use a virtual card is flagging my transaction up on the system as “being potentially high risk”.
Not for me it isn’t. I feel that linking my real bank card would be much higher risk FOR ME.
They also suggested that to reduce the “risk” and the likelihood of my transactions being stopped in future, I should link another card or my bank account directly to Paypal. Neither is something I want to do at all, for reasons already stated. I said this in a reply to them and have received nothing back in the 3 days since.

Two: Visit Your Prepaid Cards Website To See If They Offer Transfers To A Bank Account
Some prepaid card companies help you do transfers to your bank account through their website or app. So your first stop should be the website of your prepaid card provider.
Check Your Card Companys FAQ Page
Here, theyll usually have a FAQ page. If your card company allows transfers, theyll state it very clearly.

Where And How To Get A Virtual Card
If you have a credit card, you may already have access to a virtual card number. To find out, simply log into your online bank or card account and search for Virtual Card Number or Virtual Account Number.
Citi Virtual Account Numbers, Wells Fargo Digital Wallet and Click To Pay from Visa, MasterCard and American Express are all examples of providers for single- or multi-use virtual card numbers. This makes personal purchase tracking much easier and maintains privacy by containing consumer history exposure to a specific company or merchant.
The Citi Virtual Account Number portal is a great example of how quick and easy it can be to set up a virtual card. First, it will ask you to choose which type of Citi account you want to create the virtual card number for. Second, you will be invited to confirm any advanced settings you may want, including custom expiration dates and spending limits. Third, it will generate a unique virtual card number that you can put to use immediately and delete as soon as it is no longer needed.

This offers customers another kind of security, protecting information directly linked to bank accounts and smoothing out cash flow delays or unexpected funding hiccups for both individuals and businesses.
