There has been some controversy about Zelle, though. The main issue is that you cant cancel the payment once you send the money. The money transfer is almost instantaneous. And if youve typed in the wrong email or phone number, you wont be able to get it back. The only thing you can do is to try to solve the issue yourself.

Zelle Vs Venmo Vs Cash App
These three money transfer apps let you send money to friends and family for free, but each has its own style and slightly different use case.
Zelle vs. Venmo
Both apps allow you to send money from your phone to friends and family, but with varying sending and receiving limits, one may be a better choice than the other for you. In short, Venmo is absolutely the more socially-focused of the two choices, while Zelle may be the more convenient option if your bank is a Zelle partner.
Zelle vs. Cash App
Cash App offers similar features to Zelle, with added features like buying and selling Bitcoin, investing in stocks and more. There are slight differences in sending limits between Zelle and Cash App, and Cash App supports transfers to friends in the UK from the US. However, you may want to stick with Zelle if you prefer straight bank-to-bank transfers with no escrow.
Is There A Limit On How Much You Can Transfer With Zelle
If your bank isnt a Zelle partner, you have a weekly transfer limit of $500 when using Zelle. If you use a partner bank, your bank may set limits on the amount of money you can transfer. These limits may be daily, weekly, monthly, or some combination, so the best way to find out if your bank limits how much you can transfer is to contact your bank directly.

Is Your Bank Information Safe With Zelle
While theyre widely used nowadays, mobile payment apps are still somewhat a novelty. And theres still an aura of suspicion around them.
When youre connecting your bank account to Zelle for the first time, you might be curious to know how safe your banking info will be. The app does have safety protocols and ensures that the payments are made securely.
It also uses authentication and never puts your money in the hands of a third-party. The only real problem with Zelle is of users not being sure who theyre sending money to.
Thats where any potential safety issues stem from. You cant cancel the money transfer once youve pressed send. But overall, there are very few concerns about potential hacking or any abuse of your banking information.
