How Can I Find Out If My Third Stimulus Payment Will Arrive As An Eip Card

[Hindi] Without Charges

If you got an EIP card last time, does that mean you’ll get your money the same way with the third stimulus check? Not necessarily. With the second round, the IRS sent double the number of EIP cards. The Treasury says if you didn’t receive your payment via direct deposit by March 24, you should watch the mail carefully in the coming weeks for a paper check or a prepaid debit card.

One new wrinkle this time around: The third round’s checks are going out during tax season. The IRS is using your most recent tax return it has on file, which could be your 2019 or 2020 return, to determine your payment.

Dont Withdraw Money From An Overseas Bank Teller

You can also theoretically withdraw money from your stimulus debit card by walking into any bank or credit union displaying a Visa logo. In the past, Metabank charged a $5 fee for using a bank teller, but the current fee schedule no longer lists a fee for withdrawals made at banks within the United States.

However, like with non-network ATMs, the bank is allowed to tack on a fee of its own. And if youre overseas and go to an international bank teller, the $5 fee still applies, though its waived for your first withdrawal and it can be lower for subsequent withdrawals depending on how and where the card is used.

Dont Ask An Atm For The Balance On Your Stimulus Debit Card

While were on the subject of ATMs, if youre not sure how much money you have left on your stimulus debit card, you can now use an ATM to find out. Previously, every time you made a balance inquiry at an ATM, Metabank charged you a fee of 25 cents. However, on Metabanks most recent fee schedule, theres now no fee listed for getting your balance at an ATM.

However, just as when youre withdrawing money, if youre using a non-network ATM, the ATM owner can still tack on an additional fee of its own. So to safely find out how much money is left on your card without getting charged a fee, either use a network ATM, go online and look it up at the EIP Card website or call customer service at 240-8100.

    Atm Balance Inquiry Fee

The card has a $0.25 to check your card balance at any ATM.

    Even worse:

If you check the card balance in an out-of-network ATM, the ATM operator may impose a surcharge on top of the EIP Cards fee.

To avoid this fee: Check your card balance online at or through the Money Network Mobile App.

Eip Card Stimulus Check: Can I Transfer It To My Bank Account Everything You Need To Know

It’s possible your $1,400 stimulus check could show up in your mailbox in the form of a prepaid debit card, or EIP card. And yes, it’s legitimate.

We now know a little more about those of the third stimulus checks that are arriving as an EIP card.

If your direct deposit information isn’t on file with the IRS, don’t expect to receive your third stimulus check in your bank account. Yesterday, March 24, was the last day for direct deposits to be made, the IRS announced — the agency disbursed 37 million more payments this week. If you’re eligible for the third check and haven’t received a payment yet, you should expect either a paper check or an Economic Impact Payment debit card in the mail.

Don’t be alarmed — the EIP prepaid debit card was also used as a payment method for the first and second stimulus checks last year. If you’ve already received your EIP card in the mail and wondering what it is, read on for what it should look like, how to use it and what to do if you accidentally lose it.

Also, if you’re still missing your stimulus money or think there’s a problem with your payment, we can help. Additionally, if you’re curious to know how much of the $1,400 you’ll actually get or wondering if you should be looking for an EIP card or a paper check, we have answers. Also, here’s what to know about stimulus checks and SSI and SSDI and older adults, how your taxes could affect your total and if a fourth stimulus check could happen.

Dont Use Your Stimulus Debit Card At The Wrong Atm

You can get cash from your stimulus debit card at any ATM, up to $1,000 per day . However, its important that you use the right ATM so it doesnt cost you extra.

When you use your stimulus debit card at an ATM within the AllPoint network, you wont pay a fee at all. You can find a list of all the network ATMs on the EIP Card website.

But if you use a machine outside of that network, youre at risk of paying not just one, but two separate fees. First, Metabank, which issues the card on behalf of the Treasury Department, will charge you a $2 fee each time you withdraw cash on a non-network ATM .

And second, the owner of the ATM itself may charge you a fee, which can range from 99 cents to several dollars, depending on the machine. Plus, if you happen to be outside the US, youll be charged an even higher $3 fee by Metabank to withdraw cash from an ATM, no matter what machine you use, plus any additional fee charged by the ATM operator.

So if youre going to withdraw cash from your stimulus debit card using an ATM, youll want to make sure youre doing it only at a network ATM in the US.
