Need To Deactivate The Debit Card Heres How That Works
You can deactivate the card if it no longer serves any purpose. Moreover, it is advisable to deactivate the card if you have misplaced it or it got stolen.
- You can do so by logging in your mobile app and tapping on Settings.
- Then click on Venmo debit card and hit the deactivate button.
Alternatively, you can have it disabled by contacting Venmo customer support team at 855-204-4090.

Moreover, a card that has not yet reached it expiry would be deactivated automatically by Venmo if you havent used it for over 3 months. Reactivation would require you to make at least a single transaction immediately.

account suspension or termination
funds being seized to comply with a court order, warrant or other legal process and/or
funds you previously received being reversed .

How To Transfer Money From Venmo To Paypal
Simply put, to transfer money from Venmo to PayPal, you will need to set up a common bank account that’s linked to both services. This process can be done either online or over the mobile apps of the respective services. To get started, you will need to already have a PayPal account, have a US bank account in the same name as your PayPal account, and have a Venmo account in the same name as your bank account.
We recommend you budget two or three days for this process if you don’t already have a bank account linked to both Venmo and PayPal. This is because successfully linking a bank account to either service can take some time to process.
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to use Venmo to send money internationally, as the service is only available inside the US.

Verifying Your Bank Account
In order to send payments directly from your bank account, youll need to verify it. We also recommend taking the time to verify your bank account before you transfer funds to avoid any complications.
If you’ve entered the wrong account information, a couple of things could happen:
Your bank will not be able to find your account and your bank transfer will fail. The money may be returned to us after a few days and put back into your Venmo account, but we cannot guarantee that will happen.
If the bank does not return the transfer, the funds may be lost. Venmo is not responsible for lost transfers as a result of incorrect bank credentials. Your bank will be the best point of contact in this scenario.
There are two ways you can verify your bank account in Venmo:
I. Instant Verification
One way to verify your bank account is by providing the username and password that you use for online banking. Venmo uses Plaid to verify your bank account information and, periodically, your bank account balance to check if you have enough funds to cover certain transactions. If your bank is eligible for instant verification, you will be prompted to add your online banking username and password after you have selected your bank.
You’ll see these deposits/debits in your bank account within 1-3 business days as separate items on your bank statement. Once you do, you can visit www.venmo.com/verifybank to verify your bank account.
