Yesterday I attempted to login to PNC using Firefox, as I normally do, and recieved a strange error message, ” RETURN CODE: 18.84f10417.1546015773.1c1b8fdb “. The login failed and at first I thought it was just PNC doing some work. After a few more attempts and getting the same result I tried Internet Explorer just for kicks, and was able to login just fine. Hmmm.

So I attempted Firefox again and was unable to login. Next I cleared the cache, cleared the PNC cookies and tried again… no success. I then contacted PNC via facebook and got no help there, just that my browser was broken. So let’s skip to the juicy part.

PNC bank has two login portals, one from there home page and then another that is accessed after a failed login attempt and after logging out of your account. There respective URLs are:’

I want to make this point very clear, using the alternate login page I was able to login to my account using Firefox. I then passed this information on to the person I was communicating with on Facebook.
